Commissions - Can I request a custom-sized original painting?

Yes! I am delighted to paint commissions in line with my theme of "Compassion for the Human Condition and Close Connections" I am experienced with painting custom commissions and enjoy collaborating with my collectors. My commissions often reflect a significant moment between people or the support, love, togetherness, and cohesion within a family, a specific community, team or group.  

What is your commission process?

We begin with a conversation to assess your specific needs and wants, then we agree on the size, colour, media and general concept. Following our initial meeting, I take notes, make rough concept drawings and collect significant photographs. Once I have spoken to you and made follow-up thumbnail sketches with a media and colour plan, I will send you three options electronically via jpeg. Once all details are agreed, I begin work on the painting. Once you see the completed painting, two revisions may be made. My policy is to send you only artwork that I love myself. This is a great test, and I have always had exceptional feedback concerning the resulting paintings. 

What currency are your prices on this site?

All original paintings and prints are priced in Canadian Dollars (CAD)

What is your shipping policy? 

I ship internationally. Within North America, the process is straightforward - see below. I also ship originals to countries outside of North America. In that case, there are often distinct factors to be considered, so please contact me for a shipping quote tailored to your needs if you live outside North America.


If you live in the Toronto GTA, I can arrange free delivery or studio pick-up to suit your preference. If you live anywhere else in North America (i.e. in the US or Canada), I offer free shipping for originals under 20" x 20".

If your painting is larger than 20" x 20", shipping will be via the most effective carrier at the time. In this case, the cost is calculated by size and weight. Please contact me for a shipping quote on original paintings over 20" x 20" to the US or Canada.

As stated above, if you live outside the US or Canada, please contact me, and I will find and recommend the best shipping options for you. All originals are shipped from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.    

Prints and Other Merchandise originals

Soon I will offer high-quality prints and other merchandise based on a different body of work. All original paintings are kept as unique, one-off works. All prints and merchandise are shipped using the highest quality, most effective carrier at the time. Shipping times vary from 1-7 days, depending on the distances involved. Customers receive a tracking number via email once the prints or merchandise has shipped. I fully insure all shipments to the total value of the prints or merchandise. Art prints are shipped from California.  

How is the artwork packaged?

We have devised a great solution to protect your art, that is lightweight, to keep the cost of shipping affordable. Our professional packaging team custom builds a box out of 3 Ply cardboard and protects the art with styrofoam packaging, bubble wrap and protected corners. This gives you a proven, well-protected, lightweight shipping solution to guarantee damage-free delivery. 

Small and medium-sized originals are packaged in acid-free paper, soft line, styrofoam or bubble wrap and double boxed. Larger pieces are placed in Cora plast or similar. If damaged during shipping, shipping costs will be reimbursed, the work will be replaced, or a refund will be offered. Shipping of originals will be via USPS, UPS, Canada Post, or FedEx. Notification will be sent once the piece is shipped. Please allow 7-10 business days for shipping depending on destination. All work is insured, tracked and sent with a signature-dependent delivery. 

Do you accept returns of original paintings? 

If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your original painting, please get in touch with me at within ten days of receiving the painting. Please let me know so that I may expect the package. The purchaser must cover shipping costs if the work needs to be returned. All returns must arrive undamaged and return shipped in the original packaging with insurance paid by the purchaser.

Do you accept returns of prints and merchandise? 

As above, prints and merchandise of a separate body of artwork will be available soon. All reproduction prints are made to order and are non-returnable. If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact me as soon as possible. I offer a hassle-free Photo Return process to speed replacement. Here's how this works: 

1. Take a digital photo of your damaged product and the shipping container it arrived in (if the package is also damaged)

2. Attach your photos to an email and send them to me at

3. Please include your name, order number and a brief description of the reason for the return. You will receive an email within 48 hours confirming that your photo return is processed.

4. If your photo return is confirmed, you do not need to mail back your product. I will process the replacement based on your photos.

5. If the damage or quality issue is not apparent in the photos, I may ask you to return the item at your expense to process the return.
